In 2004, the Memorial Chamber of Zofia Urbanowska, a writer and journalist from Konin, was established at the Volunteer Fire Department Cultural Center in Kowalewek.

In the Chamber, there are personal mementoes of the deceased writer, as well as her publications and photos. The writer's work concerned her hometown of Konin. It was also in this city that she usually set the action of her works. Her novels for children and adolescents gained recognition from readers and enjoyed considerable popularity.

The Memorial Chamber can be visited from Tuesday to Friday from 10:00-16:00.
